| Bicycles in the METRO |
|
Since 1st October 2008 Metropolitano de Lisboa has broadened the permission to carry bicycles in the trains to workdays from 8:00pm until closing time, under the same conditions already in force for weekends and public holidays.

It is allowed to carry a maximum of two bicycles per carriage as long as there isn’t a large crowd of passengers. Nevertheless there are other essential rules, which our clients must abide by, that we would like to remind:

- It is forbidden to ride a bicycle in the ML facilities (ticket halls, platforms, accesses, etc.);
- It is forbidden to carry bicycles on the escalators, travelators and lifts situated in the stations and passageways;
- Each passenger is only allowed to carry one bicycle;
- Passengers should carry their bicycles bearing in mind not to obstruct the doors and not to disturb in any other way people coming in and out of the carriages;
- Passengers will be held responsible for any damages caused to our trains or facilities;
- The Metropolitano de Lisboa, E.P. is not responsible for damages caused upon the bicycles or any third party, during their transportation.
