Continuously betting on service improvement, we are replacing and modernizing the card readers in fare gates to prepare our network to keep up with the latest technological trends in ticketing, including the use of bank cards and mobile phones in the future.<\/p>\n

The new validators are already in use at some station fare gates. Because of the precision of the data reading, the technology used in the validators requires the use of only one card to avoid conflicts between them. As such, customers must only swipe the card they intend to use; otherwise, validation may be incorrect.<\/p>\n

As a result, Metro customers are reminded to swipe their card and not their wallet.<\/p>\n
