Starting on September 5, the Lisbon Metro will begin the process of modernising and upgrading the five lifts at Alameda Station (Green and Red lines), with the goal of improving the station’s accessibility. The works will be carried out in phases to mitigate the inconveniences caused to customers at Alameda Station.

This intervention is part of the Metro’s ongoing effort to update and modernise stations, in line with the National Plan for Accessibility, and working towards the principle of “Accessibility and Mobility for All.”

Equipment Subject to Upgrade:

1st Phase:
Lift 2 – Platform direction Cais do Sodré / Lobby
Lift 4 – Platform direction S. Sebastião / Lobby

2nd Phase:
Lift 1 – Platform direction Telheiras / Lobby
Lift 4 – Platform direction S. Sebastião / Lobby

3rd Phase:
Lift 5 – Lobby / Street level (Alameda D. Afonso Henriques / Av. Almirante Reis)
