Metropolitano de Lisboa has started the work of the contract for the “Interventions to Ensure Accessibility for People with Reduced Mobility at Campo Pequeno and Picoas Stations on the Yellow Line of Metropolitano de Lisboa, E.P.E”.

Full accessibility at the Campo Pequeno (south atrium) and Picoas (north atrium) stations will be made possible by the completion of construction and installation of the necessary equipment to commission three lifts that will provide access between street level and each of the platforms at these stations.

Start of construction:

6 December 2023

Constraints for customers:

– Campo Pequeno station: while the work is being carried out, the west access to the station’s south atrium (exit Av. República / Av. 5 de Outubro) will be closed to the public, while the east access (exit Av. Repblica – east / Av. Barbosa du Bocage – east) will remain open, ensuring the operation of that atrium.

The south atrium will be closed in its entirety for building works for approximately 10 days (to be announced).

– Picoas Station: while the work is being carried out, the accesses to the north atrium of the station (R. Tomás Ribeiro / Av. Fontes Pereira de Melo) will remain in operation, however, in order to install the atrium/platform lifts, the pedestrian stairs located next to the station’s exterior wall on each platform will be closed.
