Information update

As a result of a delay in the supply of the materials/equipment needed to complete the interior formwork structure to protect train traffic (shoring), Metropolitano de Lisboa has been informed by the entity responsible for the work in question that there has been a delay in the supply of the materials/equipment needed to complete that structure.

We would like to inform you that the restrictions at Cais do Sodré station will continue until May 31 (Friday).
Normal operating conditions at this station are expected to be restored by 06:30 on June 1st (Saturday).

As part of the project to extend the Yellow and Green lines, from May 13 to May 27, work will be carried out at Cais do Sodré station to build a new traction station and integrate the Santos tunnel. To ensure the required safety conditions to execute these works, as well as for Metropolitano de Lisboa customers, during the period Cais do Sodré station will only operate one platform for passengers to board and exist the train.

To minimize disruption, designated foot traffic routes will be set up inside the station to facilitate passenger movement. In addition, a security team will be present to assist with crowd management.

The Green Line will continue to operate as normal.

Normal service conditions are expected to resume at 6:30 am on May 27.

See the plan below for guidance on navigating the station during this time:

Passengers with reduced mobility who need to use the lift from the platform to the station lobby should seek assistance from the security staff available on the boarding platform.

We apologise for the inconvenience and emphasise the importance of these restrictions to complete the works for the future integration of Cais do Sodré station into the Circle Line.
