New Railway Signalling and Expansion of the Lisbon Metro Network
Modernisation Works and Increased Train Frequency
We are taking another significant step to increase train frequency in Central Lisbon. As part of the ongoing investments in the new Railway Signalling System and the Circle Line expansion project, coordinated works will be carried out at Campo Grande.
These works will take place between 3 and 19 August.
The Lisbon Metro has devised a contingency plan to safeguard and assure our customers and we ask for your understanding regarding any inconvenience caused.
Customers are advised to pay attention to the alternative services implemented, the circulation rules and procedures at Campo Grande Station and, also, to the public service limitations.
From August 3 to 17 (Saturday to Saturday):
- Yellow Line:
- No train service between Campo Grande and Cidade Universitária.
- Service between Rato and Cidade Universitária with 6-car trains.
- Service between Odivelas and Campo Grande with 3-car trains.
- Green Line:
- Telheiras Station closed.
- Service between Campo Grande and Cais do Sodré:
- From the 3 to 13 August with 6-car trains.
- From the 14 to 17 August with 3-car trains.
On August 18 and 19 (Sunday and Monday):
- Yellow Line:
- No train service between Lumiar and Cidade Universitária.
- Campo Grande and Quinta das Conchas stations closed.
- Service between Rato and Cidade Universitária with 6-car trains.
- Service between Odivelas and Lumiar with 6-car trains.
- Green Line:
- No train service between Telheiras and Alvalade.
- Stations Campo Grande and Telheiras closed.
- Service between Alvalade and Cais do Sodré with 6-car trains.
Full service on both the Green and Yellow Lines will be restored from 06:30 on 20 August (Tuesday).
Alternative bus services accepting valid Metro tickets will be available daily, including Saturdays and Sundays, from 07:30 to 20:00. These are clearly marked to ensure the following connections:
From August 3 to 17:
- Telheiras – Campo Grande – Telheiras
On August 18 and 19:
- Telheiras – Campo Grande – Alvalade
- Lumiar – Quinta das Conchas – Campo Grande – Cidade Universitária
