Nightly (22:00 to 05:00) from 7 April; weekends from 25 to 28 April and from 2 to 5 May – CP Train Service Suspension between Cais do Sodré and Algés

As part of the ongoing expansion of the Yellow and Green lines, the Lisbon Metro, CP (Portuguese Railways) and IP (Infrastructure of Portugal) are carrying out critical works. These works require suspending CP train services on the Cascais Line between Cais do Sodré and Algés starting 7 April, nightly from 22:00 to 05:00.

Additionally, service will be completely suspended from 22:00 on 25 April to 05:00 on 28 April, and from 2 to 5 May, during the same time period.

These temporary suspensions are part of a new phase in the extension project of the Yellow and Green lines, which includes the construction of a new tunnel connecting the new Santos station to the current Cais do Sodré station. This phase necessitates temporary alterations to the Cascais Line’s route, now moving towards restoring the original track layout.

Given the complex nature of the site, which includes various technical and infrastructural challenges, particularly underground, a safe and precise intervention is required that is not compatible with the operation of CP trains.

The Lisbon Metro, CP, IP, Carris and other transport operators, in coordination with the Lisbon City Council, will implement a replacement bus service to minimise the disruption this suspension will cause to our customers, covering the route between Cais do Sodré and Algés:
